As many of you know, the coronavirus situation has created a challenge of developing a proposed shortened swim team season while providing all swim team members with fun exercise and friendship opportunities.  This is juxtaposed against the Swim Team's safety concerns and assurances that we can meet any regulatory requirements.  We know that all of you are concerned for your children's safety.   You want assurances that safe practices are being established and enforced.  We have taken all into consideration and have developed the following program for the 2020 season:
Registration is open to all Braun Oaks residents and anyone who participated last year as a non-resident sponsored swimmer.  Unfortunately, and due to capacity concerns and regulatory requirements, we must limit our participants this year to those who participated last year and any new Braun Oaks resident participants.  Exceptions will be made if you had one child participating last year and have another child in your family unit that became age eligible or wants to join their siblings.
Swim season begins Monday, July 6, 2020 through Friday July 31, 2020.
There will be three (3) swim practice times daily Monday through Friday.
First Practice                 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM     -     Jr. Team  7-10- years old
Second Practice             9:00 AM to 9:45 AM     -     Baby Dolphins 6-under
Third Practice               10:00 AM to 10:45 AM   -     Sr. Team  11-18- years
Each practice is 45 minutes so that swimmers can exit the pool safely, and common areas can be disinfected in advance of the next practice group.
Social distancing guidelines will be established while swimmers are on deck.
Qualified participants may complete the registration form and return along with your payment to our mailbox at the clubhouse.  The registration form also contains a Covid-19 disclaimer which will require parental signature.
Cost: $80.00 each for the first two participants in a family; $65 per additional swimmer AND donation of a
case of water, one 12 pack of name brand sodas or Gatorade to stock the Snack Shack. (Swim team receives ALL proceeds from the pool’s Snack Shack.)
Attire: Solid black one-piece swimsuit. Goggles and swim cap are preferred.
Adult Participation: We will not hold swim meets this season with other teams in our division. However, parents are encouraged to join us in ensuring successful social distancing requirements are met.
